Life In The Sun.
The title of the website turned out to be very inappropriate given that the vast majority of readers read it to hear about stories of my life as a backpacker, which was truly life in the sun. For that year I moved from the end of an Irish summer into the start of a South American Summer, just in time to arrive for an Indian summer in New Zealand and a pleasant early winter in Australia (more shine) before nipping back to the northern hemisphere in time for summer again, almost one year later. There’s a wonderful world to see out there and I never intended to come across smug in these posts (and I definitely do). The idea was to encourage others to join and share in the experience by living vicariously through me or by going out there for themselves.
Here I hope to categorise and “freeze” those posts relating to events by country so that people can quickly look up stuff relevant to that country. Over time I hope to add some extra content per country and maybe some more tips and tricks on backpacking.
