John O’ Kane is a games programmer from Ireland, currently studying for an Msc at Trinity College Dublin in Interactive Entertainment Technology. Before this he traveled around the world as backpacker over 11 months visiting Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, The Cook Islands, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Japan. The website LifeInTheRain.com was used extensively to track the events of that year. Prior to traveling John worked as a programmer at Instinct Technology, an Irish games middleware company.
